Tangy Lemon Marinade

Lemons, cilantro and garlic…oh, my!

I love to mix together homemade marinades for grilling meat. I like the challenge of finding random stuff, mixing it together and loving the final product. This particular combination of ingredients would be delicious on a number of meats – chicken, chops, roasts…I poured mine over ribeye steaks. Lemme tell you – they were out of this world!

Tangy Lemon Marinade

1 cup vegetable oil
juice of 2 lemons
1 clove garlic, minced
bunch cilantro, chopped (about 1/4 cup chopped)
1 tblsp. sea salt
1 tsp. fresh cracked pepper

Combine all ingredients and pour over steaks or pork chops in a zip loc bag and marinate for 2-3 hours or overnight. For chicken or fish, marinate only about an hour. Drain off marinade and grill meat to desired doneness.
