A simplified version of chicken cube broth.
We sort out the pearl barley, rinse it under running cold water, fill it with boiling water, cook until tender. Then we put it in a boiling chicken broth and cook for 15-20 minutes. Saute onions and carrots on margarine and put them together with chopped potatoes into a common pan, where we cook everything together for another 15-20 minutes. After that, put the steamed cucumbers, bay leaf, pepper and boil. Finally, season with cucumber pickle until the desired sour taste. Serve sprinkled with herbs.
