I want to share an old grandmother's recipe. I know that not everyone can cook beautiful, appetizing and fragrant potatoes with a golden brown crust. As simple as it may seem.

Prepare foods for cooking fried potatoes.
Wash and peel the potatoes.
Leave small tubers as they are, and cut large ones into 2-4 parts.
Heat the skillet well and pour in the oil so that it covers the bottom.
Arrange the potatoes in one layer. Close the lid and reduce heat. Leave on for 5-6 minutes.
Turn the potatoes in a skillet and close again for 5-6 minutes.
In this way, fry the potatoes on all sides. Keep heating close to minimum.
Once the potatoes are well browned and almost cooked, they can be seasoned with salt and pepper.
Full readiness - about half an hour.
Turn off the heat, grate the garlic on top and hold the potatoes in the pan for another minute with the lid closed.
When serving, sprinkle the fried potatoes with fresh herbs.
You can serve fried potatoes with meat, fish or as an independent dish, with sauerkraut and other salads.
