All necessary ingredients are prepared.
I took the duck thighs, peeled them off and cut them into large pieces.
Instead of a duck, you can take a goose.
If you have a whole duck / goose carcass, then it must be chopped into pieces before cooking.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into large wedges.
Peel the onion and cut it into small cubes.
Preheat a frying pan with 10 g of butter, add vegetable oil. Fry pieces of duck / goose over high heat, turning occasionally, for 5-7 minutes, until golden brown.
Poultry meat is placed in a pot.
Add raw potatoes.
Add the remaining butter to the pan in which the meat was fried and melt it. Lightly sauté chopped onions for 5 minutes over high heat, stirring occasionally.
Add the sautéed onions to the pot.
Bay leaves, pepper and salt are also sent there.
Pour in broth or water in such an amount to cover the surface of the products with liquid.
Cover the pot with poultry meat, potatoes and onions with a lid and send to the oven. Stew the dish in a pot at 180 degrees for 50-60 minutes. 10 minutes before cooking, remove the lid so that the onions and potatoes are slightly browned.
Put poultry meat with potatoes and onions on a plate, garnish with herbs and serve for lunch.
