Wash, dry the meat,

Wash the onion and cut into cubes or half rings.

Cut the meat into pieces (2x2 cm).

Preheat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. Lay out the meat. Fry over high heat on one side for 1-2 minutes, and then turn over and fry in the same way on the other side.

Add onion, fry everything together, stirring occasionally, over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.

Add tomato (or grated tomatoes), stir and pour boiling water over. Season with salt, pepper, add sugar, bay leaves and your favorite spices. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat.

Meanwhile, wash and peel the potatoes, cut into wedges. Put the potatoes in a cauldron.

Add meat and sauce to the potatoes, mix everything well. The liquid should be slightly less than the level of potatoes with meat. Put the cauldron on the fire, bring to a boil. Cook over the lowest heat until the potatoes are tender (about 15 minutes).
