How to cook a carrot casserole:
Wash carrots, peel, grate on a coarse grater.
Pour carrots into a saucepan, add sugar, butter, milk. Mix.
Simmer covered for 5-10 minutes over high heat. Then turn off and leave to cool.
In a separate bowl, combine eggs, semolina and cottage cheese.
When the stewed carrots have cooled slightly (to about 45-55 degrees), add the egg mixture to the carrots. Mix everything.
Turn on the oven.
Grease the form with vegetable or butter. Gently place the carrot mixture in a mold and flatten.
Spread sour cream on top of the casserole.
Bake the carrot casserole in the upper third of the oven over medium heat (180-200 degrees) for 20-25 minutes.
